Description of Physical Characteristics and Flaking Pattern:

This is a thin small triangular stemmed point with a flattened cross section.  The blade ranges from slightly excurvate to straight.  The shoulders may range from horizontal to barbed.  The stem varies from parallel with a square stem to contracting with a convex base.  This point has a random flaking pattern.

Size Measurements:  Length - 22 to 52 mm (average 31 to 34 mm),  Width - 11 to 30 mm (average 15 to 20 mm), Thickness - 1.5 to 8 mm (average 2 to 4 mm)

This point is found in southwestern British Columbia and northwestern Washington in Salish cultural regions.

Carlson has conducted extensive studies into the archaeology of Canada.  This point was identified in a professional publication. Currently only two examples have been recovered from the southwestern Yukon ice patches.  This is considered a cultural type.
